Chen Guo was performing at the “Zhong Shan Square” in Mukden (capital city in the Northeast province of China) during last summer. He dressed up as a funny clown moving around the statue in the centre. The architectonic aesthetics can be the extension of ideology. The two memorial buildings of different historical periods in the centre of this plaza generated narratives of incoherent colonial discourses. What will happen if those two kinds of narratives are exposed to encounter each other in a public context?
