Having emigrated to the USA in 1936, where he works as an academic who criticises his own environment, Joseph Weizenbaum is a moral authority, an un-academic admonisher, a original and insistent cultural pessimist. His unpretentious lectures are minor happenings, the man with the moustache and long hair has almost become a cult figure.
